Effect of land use/land cover changes on surface water availability in the Omo-Gibe basin, Ethiopia
نویسندگان
چکیده
Land use/land cover (LULC) changes due to natural and anthropogenic interference have altered the hydrological processes of Omo-Gibe basin, Ethiopia. In this study, modelling remote sensing techniques were used assess LULC in water availability basin. The LULCs classified from satellite imagery 1987 2017 using normalized difference indices, observed be significant for calibration validation performance Soil Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) model streamflow sediment yield basin was satisfactory. Afterwards, SWAT simulate runoffs yields different management practices such as introducing filter strips, parallel terracing, reforestation. critical sub-basins reduced significantly on reforestation best practice. study outputs are helpful various stakeholders policymakers managing resources properly.

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
the effect of e-64 on the developmental competence of sheep cocs during in vitro maturation
in the present study, the effect of e-64 at different concentrations (0.5, 1, 5 and 10 µm) added to (1) the ivm medium on oocyte nuclear maturation and developmental competence of ovine oocytes, and (2) to the ivc medium on embryonic development of ovine embryos were investigated.
Impact of urban land cover change on land surface temperature
The rapid growth in urban population is seen to create a need for the development of more urban infrastructures. In order to meet this need, natural surfaces such as vegetation are been replaced with non-vegetated surfaces such as asphalt and bricks which has the ability to absorb heat and release it later. This change in land cover is seen to increase the land surface temperature. Previous stu...

Land use change in watershed management one of the most important hydrological factors surface runoff change and water management practices. the purpose of this investigation, Impact of Land Use and drought on runoff of Tuyserkan watershed in Hamedan In central zagros In the three time periods of 1991, 2003 and 2015 (25 years) using hydrological modeling is the rainfall-runoff relationship (I...
